Adjunct Faculty.[1]
My work brings together medical toxicology, clinical data science, research and education.
I am a physician, medical toxicologist and clinical data scientist. At the University of Florida, I hold two current appointments: Adjunct Faculty and Specialist in Poison Information. My work focuses on poisoning care, drug safety, clinical research, and the evaluation of artificial intelligence in healthcare.[1][2][3][4]
My professional path connects Iran and the United States. Earlier academic work at Birjand University of Medical Sciences included clinical toxicology and poisoning research. Fellowships in Mashhad and Denver broadened that perspective, followed by work with U.S. poison-information and clinical-research teams.[5]
I study poisoning patterns and outcomes using clinical cohorts and national registries, including the National Poison Data System and the Toxicology Investigators Consortium. My AI research includes machine-learning and deep-learning studies of poisoning classification, as well as outcome prediction. These are collaborative research studies; their findings must be understood within the populations and methods tested.[6]
I am CEO of MedicalToxic, an educational platform for toxicology professionals and public audiences. I contribute articles and case studies, and my writing also extends beyond medicine to philosophical explorations of awareness and identity.[7]
I serve as Editor-in-Chief of Human & Experimental Toxicology.[8]

My training also includes forensic medicine and toxicology at Tehran University of Medical Sciences.[5]
Research on acute poisoning, clinical presentation and management, including aluminum phosphide, acetaminophen and anticholinergic toxicity. A recurring focus is how clinical findings inform assessment and treatment.
